How can I start services?

Do I need a referral to book an appointment?
No referral is needed to see a therapist privately. However, you must have a GP referral if you wish to claim rebates through Medicare.
Do you offer home visits?
Yes, we provide mobile services in your home, school, or community settings where you need the support the most.

Do you accept NDIS funding?
Yes, we see participants who are Self-Managed or Plan-Managed.
Do I need NDIS funding to see an occupational therapist?
No, you can access OT services privately, through Medicare with a GP referral (Enhanced Primary Care plan) or private health insurance.
Can I use Medicare to pay for sessions?
Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plans - previously called EPC - can provide Medicare rebates for up to 5 allied health sessions per calendar year. These plans are created by your GP for longterm or ongoing conditions. A gap fee usually applies.
Better Access to Mental Health Care Plans provide Medicare rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. These plans are also arranged through your GP and support access to mentalhealthrelated services. A gap fee typically applies.

Can I use my Private Health Insurance?
Yes, if you have the appropriate "Extras" cover. We provide an itemised receipt for you to claim manually online. A gap fee typically applies, speak to your private health insurance provider for details about your specific cover.
Do you work with children and adults?
We provide services across all age groups, from early intervention for children to support for adults and aged care needs. With experts in each stage of life, we ensure you receive the right support at the right time.
Can OTs prescribe assistive technology?
Yes, we assess for and prescribe assistive technology and equipment, from simple aids like modified cutlery to more complex equipment like electric riser recliners and hi-lo adjustable beds. We can assess your needs and provide reports and recommendations for equipment or environmental modifications to improve safety and independence including home safety assessments.
Can you help with home modifications?
We assess needs for minor home modifications, provide recommendations, and work with builders to ensure modifications meet your functional requirements.
How do I know my therapist is qualified?
In Australia, all Occupational Therapists must be registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia under AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency). You can check our registration on the AHPRA website.
Our remedial massage therapists are qualified practitioners and members of recognised professional associations such as Association of Massage Therapists (AMT).
Our counsellors are trained professionals who hold membership with peak bodies such as the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) or the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), ensuring high standards of ethical and professional practice.
